Lily of the Valley
The lily is a delicate plant of the Ruscaceae family. At the other end of its little white bells, its underground stems, or rhizomes, help the lily spread. Although the lily is one of a kind, many varieties can be found across Europe, Asia, and some parts of America. In France, we hand-pick them on May 1st to celebrate the Spring. Invigorating and pure, the lily carries the scent of happy days.
Carriere Freres is a French candle line that was founded by a team of brothers in 1884. They selected the finest waxes and the most durable wicks and brought them to the masses. Fascinated by Botanic, they strenuously sought out a formula for a purely vegetal wax. The result was a recipe, free of paraffin and other petrochemical derivates, which does not produce smoke or unpleasant odours, and is easily blended with perfume. This wax is still in use today and allows for slow combustion and clean burning.
These candles have a maximum burn time of 90 hours. Burn your candles until its whole surface is melted. Take off, with your finger, the carbonized part of the wick between each use of the candle. Avoid burning the candles much further than 1 cm or 0.4 inches from the bottom of the glass.
